Pete Gitlitz (1924-1926)
A popular figure in law school, New Haven's William ("Pete") Gitlitz was a two year letterman, and was elected captain in his third year of studies.
Despite few points, Gitlitz was otherwise well regarded. "Pete Gitlitz shone on the defense like a star in the sky," write the 1925 Ye Domesday Book wrap-up of the season. "The New Haven boy performed wonderfully all season."
Following Georgetown, Gitlitz settled in Bridgeport, CT, practicing law for many years.
