Vin Leddy (1946-1949)
A popular figure in his four years on the Hilltop, Vin Leddy was a backup to two future NBA players in his three years on the varsity.
Leddy came to Georgetown from New York's Xavier HS, which featured a future Hall of Fame forward in George Kaftan and a future Hall of Fame coach in Frank McGuire. His senior year team finished 20-5 with local honors. At georgetown, he played behind Dan Kraus and Ray Corley, but saw regular action his senior year, with a career high of 19 versus Villanova.
Following Georgetown, Leddy was a teacher and high school basketball coach in Connecticut and ended his career at a pharmaceutical company. He died in 1990 at the age of 61.
