Tom Hamm (1963-1964)
A two year starting pitcher for the Georgetown baseball team, Tom Hamm saw action in there games as a sophomore and did not return to the team his junior season.
In 1965, Hamm was drafted in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Detroit Tigers, and left school. He played four years in the minor leagues, but never progressed beyond the single-A level.
Following his baseball career, Hamm completed his studies at St. John's College in Collegeville, MN, and worked with Sperry Univac Corporation. He was killed in a hit and run accident in Tucson, AZ in 1984.
