The all-time leading scorer at Ransom Everglades HS when he graduated in 2002, Ryan Beal walked on to the team at Georgetown, where he spent four years in a reserve role. Beal appeared in 20 games over four seasons, averaging 0.5 points per game.

Ryan's sister Rhea was a walk-on for the women's team for two seasons, marking the only brother and sister to walk on to both men's and women's teams for Georgetown.

Beal received his business degree from Georgetown in 2006 and played two seasons with the Alexandria Avengers, a semi-pro team. He later received an MBA from the University of Wisconsin and currently works in technology-based marketing.
