Malik Mack (2024-)
Malik Mack, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year by way of St. John's HS in Washington, committed to Georgetown on April 18, 2024 following a strong freshman season at Harvard, scoring in double figures in 23 of 27 games last season, with a high of 32 points and six assists against UMass. His 413 points on the season was a school record for a freshman.
Mack started 32 games as a freshman, adjusting to the pace of the Big East at guard. He scored in double figures in nine of 11 non-conference games, but struggled at times in conference play and shot just 11 for 36 in his last four games of the regular season. Mack led the team in assists with 136 and was third in scoring.
As a sophomore, he led the Hoyas in scoring and was the high scorer in eight games overall amid 23 games of double figure output. When productive, he was vital to the Hoyas, but also suffered through some dangerously cold runs, including 3 for 17 at North Carolina, 2 for 12 in Georgetown's 1 for 23 finish at DePaul, and a 1 for 14 effort at home at Villanova. Mack scored in double figures in six of Georgetown's seven games to end the season, but was 3 of 19 from three point range during that period. For the season, Mack led all Georgetown players in points and assists.
