Jerry Moriarty (1962-1963)
Jerry Moriarty, a sophomore guard, saw action in two games in the 1962-63 season.
"Moriarity [sic], up from last year's outstanding freshman team, is a 6-2 powerfully built sophomore," wrote The HOYA. "He has displayed a tremendous fighting spirit and could give [Coach] O'Keefe some backboard strength and might also prove to be a valuable reserve."
With limited opportunities as a sophomore, Moriarty returned to the intramural ranks and graduated in 1965. Following a law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1968, Moriarty was an attorney in private practice and later served eight years as a judge with the New York Court of Claims and six years as a judge on the New York State Supreme Court from 2013 through his retirement in 2019.
