With the loss of its two starting guards from 2025-26, Georgetown addressed guard depth in the transfer portal with the addition of 6-1 junior Jaland Lowe.

Lowe arrived to Georgetown after two seasons at Pittsburgh, where he was a third-team all-ACC entry, and one season at Kentucky, where he was sidelined with a shoulder injuries after nine games, and was expected to return to the Wildcats in June. One or both parties changed its mind, and Lowe opted for the portal.

His best season was his sophomore year at Pitt, starting 31 games with a 16.8 points per game average, but averaged just 26 percent from three point range. At Kentucky, he played in nine games before injuries set in, averaging 8.0 points but with a three point mark of just 20 percent.
