John Jacques (1991-1995)

A defensive minded guard, John Jacques was a four year contributor to the Georgetown teams of the early 1990's, and saved some of his best efforts for his senior season.

An all-state guard from tiny Delco, NC (population: 350), Jacques played in all 32 games as a freshman, with a career best 47 percent shooting percentage and 55 assists, good for second best on the team. A starter in 19 games as a sophomore, his time diminished as a junior due to poor shooting and the arrival of guard George Butler, who accounted for most of the starts that season. When Butler was dismissed from the team in January 1995, Jacques returned to the starting lineup and turned in some of his best games, including seven Big east games in double figures, including 15 versus Syracuse and a career high 19 points versus Seton Hall.

Jacques' 54 steals in 1994-95 were second only to Allen Iverson's 89. Overall, his 136 career steals ranks 25th all time.
