James Fury (1911-1912)
"Close behind [Harry] Costello comes "Tug" Fury, the veteran halfback," write the Washington Times of James Fury, a walk-on on the 1911-12 basketball team but better known for his efforts as a running back on the Georgetown football team. "[Fury] too, is a great little man. Perhaps no man on the field is so hard to stop, once he gets under way. Fury can keep his feet in mud five inches deep."
Fury played in four games while a law student, averaging four points per game.
Little is known about Fury's career after law school. He died in 1930 at the age of 41.
