A former Brazilian club player, Gabriel Landeira was added to the 2025-26 roster at mid-season.

Landeira, who competed against Georgetown in the summer Globl Jam tournament for the Brazilian national team, was reported in November 2025 to have committed to the Hoyas, with a possibility of being a greenshirt arrival in the spring semester. He played four seasons as a reserve for for Paulistano in the Brazilian NBB league, averaging 10.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.3 steals in 2024-25, and scored 13 points and eight assists in the Globl Jam gold media round versus Georgetown.

Though never officially announced by the basketball office, Landeira was redshirted upon his arrival in the spring semester. He suited up for every game but did not see time in the 2025-26 season.
