Conde Pallen (1906-1907)
Conde DeSales Pallen arrived at Georgetown University as the son of one of its more famous alumni of that era, noted author Conde Benoist Pallen (1858-1929). A native of St. Louis, MO, the younger Conde played on the teams at Georgetown Prep before joining the school's inaugural basketball team in 1907, seeing action in all four games that season.
Pallen received a medical degree from Columbia in 1914 and lived in La Jolla, CA at the time of his death in 1963.
(Note: An earlier version of this biographical entry previously misidentified this player as Conde's older brother, Charles (Doug) Pallen. An archival reference to the team from a 1990 Georgetown anthology mistakenly listed him as "Pallen, not Conde", a reference to his more famous father and not to his brother.)
