An All-Met forward from Washington's Central HS, Carroll Shore did not play his sophomore season due to injury and averaged 3.2 points per game in 15 games during the 1936-37 season.

He did not return to Georgetown for his senior season, choosing to play for a Washington area AAU team. Shore was selected to an AAU team that toured South America later that year, and saw action in seven games for the Washington Brewers of the American Basketball League.
