Billy Wolfer (1950-1953)
A two sport star in high school, Billy Wolfer played both basketball and baseball at Georgetown, but left school after his sophomore year to volunteer for military service in the Koream War. He returned to campus his senior and was able to graduate on time, seeing action in all 20 games that season, finishing fifth on the team in scoring as Georgetown earned its first NIT post-season bid.
Following Georgetown, Wolfer settled in Schnecksville, PA., serving as a quality control manager for Mack Trucks, Inc. He died in 2010.
