Bill Stuhr (1951-1953)
A two time All-Nassau County selection in baseball and basketball at Garden City HS, Bob Stuhr pursued both sports while at college. On the court, Stuhr was a reserve guard who saw action in 25 games over two seasons, with a career high of 13 versus Penn State as a senior.
"The [Washington] Herald called him "a great floor man", wrote the Georgetown Alumni Magazine, "while the Star commented that somehow though Bob didn't score too much, the team always looked an awful lot better when Stuhr was in the game."
Following Georgetown, Stuhr pursued a long career in the brokerage industry until his retirement.
