Akok Akok (2022-2023)

Ranked as high as 92nd nationally in high school, Akok Akok averaged 4.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in three seasons at Connecticut before transferring to Georgetown in the spring of 2022. Akok had lost much of his sophomore season to a torn Achilles muscle and did not play in ten games as a sophomore because of a recurring foot injury.

Akok started all 31 games at Georgetown, leading the Big East in blocks at 2.0 per game and finishing second on the team in rebounds. A 14 point, 10 rebound effort at Xavier was a season high in conference.

In the summer of 2023, Akok was not pictured in a photo of returning players, leading to speculation about his future plans. Having not completed the minimum number of credit hours to receive a Georgetown degree, Akok left school and completed a degree at an undisclosed institution in the summer of 2023 to allow him to transfer to West Virginia and play immediately, where he averaged 3.0 points a game in his final year of eligibility.
