Since 1919, the Washington daily newspapers (variously, the Post, Evening Star, Daily News, and Times-Herald) selected the area's top basketball players in what came to be known as the All-Met Team. The tradition has been maintained since 1970 by the Washington Post.
Since 1932, 53 Georgetown players have been named to an All-Met team. Below is a list in chronological order of former and current Georgetown players designated on an All-Met team (exclusive of honorable mention selections). (Selections are based on the Post lists unless noted otherwise.)
