Terry Fenlon (1978-1980)

Over a century of Georgetown basketball, ten former players competed alongside their brother. Terry Fenlon's situation was a little different.

A guard from Washington, DC, Fenlon was the younger brother of Mary Fenlon, Georgetown's academic coordinator from 1972 through 1999. Fenlon averaged 16 points a game at Bishop McNamara HS but opted not to go to Georgetown. "I tried to recruit Terry," coach John Thompson told The HOYA in 1978, but that Fenlon was "reluctant" to play with his sister as a member of the staff. After two years at Division III St. Mary's College, Fenlon recevied a scholarship offer from Georetown in 1977 and sat out the 1977-78 season as a transfer.

A backup to Eric Floyd, Fenlon saw limited time over his two seasons. In 1978-79 he saw action in 23 games, with a career high 10 points against North Carolina Central. As a senior, Fenlon averaged eight minutes and 1.7 points per game in 1979-80, playing in 31 of 32 games that season.

In the years following graduation, Fenlon owned a real estate business in Scottsdale, AZ.
