Tony Beyer (1945-1946)

A two year letterman on the Georgetown football team, Tony Beyer walked on to the 1945-46 basketball team, appearing in nine games.

"Brooke Anthony Beyer was a native Washingtonian and a 1944 graduate of Georgetown Prep, where he played football and was inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame," wrote the Washington Post upon his death in 2011. "He continued playing football at Georgetown University, from which he graduated in 1949. He was a 1953 graduate of Georgetown's medical school. He served in the Army Air Forces toward the end of World War II and won a Golden Gloves boxing championship in Chicago."

"Dr. Beyer was a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and a member of many local medical societies. He retired in the late 1990s."
