Little is known about Spencer (Buck) Wise, who played in four games during the 1918-19 season and three years as a reserve for the football team.

Spencer's academic standing appears to be a mystery of sorts. He is cited in a HOYA article from the spring of 1920 as a sophomore; a year later, Wise is cited as a first year medical student in a University directory. In either case, Wise does not appear in any alumni listings thereafter.
