A reserve guard from Easton, PA, Lee Smith saw action in 11 games as a sophomore. He did not return to Georgetown in 1953, transferring closer to home at Moravian College, where he graduated in 1954.

Per his obituary in 2023, Smith worked as a plant manager in the Easton area and retired in 1997.
