John Philbin, a member of Georgetown's 18-1 freshman team, was elevated to the varsity roster in 1958-59 but saw action in only one game that season.

Philbin graduated in 1963 and worked as a securities trader in New York and New Canaan, CT. He was the older brother of David Philbin, who also played on the team from 1963 through 1966.
