Further research is needed on Jim Murphy, hailed as an all-state center from Pennsylvania who played the first eight games of the 1931-32 season, averaging a solid 6.8 points per game in a slower paced era for the sport. He did not play in any further games that season and appears to have left the University shortly thereafter.
