One of Georgetown's more unknown recruits for the 2023-24 season came not from the AAU ranks or the transfer portal, but Instagram.

Social media was the launching point for Hashem Asadallah, a student at the American School of Kuwait who announced he would be coming to Georgetown to play in 2014. Outside of a handful of FIBA U-18 games for Kuwait, very little was known about Asadallah, who did not play in Kenner League games in the summer of 2023 but arrived to campus to enroll and walk on to the team.

Owing to his lack of experience at the NCAA level, Asadallah saw no playing time in 2023-24.
