A transfer from Notre Dame, Frank Gibson earned the respect of his teammates, having been elected captain in his first and only season of basketball at the Hilltop.

Following medical school, Gibson served in World War I. His further whereabouts are unknown, but Gibson died sometime prior to 1941, per Notre Dame and Georgetown records.
