Dontrez Styles (2023-)

As a senior, Dontrez Styles was one of the most sought after small forwards in the nation, ranking 65th on the ESPN.com top 100 and collecting offers from Georgetown, Maryland, Pitt, NC State, and Clemson, among others.

The opportunity to play for coach Roy Williams led him to sign with UNC in November 2020, but Williams left in 2021 and Styles' two seasons at North Carolina were only as a reserve with the change in coaching to Hubert Davis. In 45 games, Styles averaged 1.8 points per game, and entered the transfer portal after his sophomore season.

Styles' junior season at Georgetown was a reaffirmation of his potential. In many ways, Styles was the most proficient of the 2023-24 Hoyas, despite playing a secondary scoring role to Jayden Epps in most games. He led the team in minutes played, led in scoring in six of 32 games and led the team in blocked shots. In a season where defense was at a premium, he was a capable defender who helped limit points from opposing forwards on the perimeter.
