• THE GEORGETOWN BASKETBALL HISTORY PROJECT

Antwan Walker (2017-2018)

There was once a time when a first team All-Met and two time DCIAA Player of the Year recipient was bound for greatness. But in a period of decline for local basketball in the Washington area, 6-9 Antwan Walker was not in the national top 200 rankings and was not highly recruited, with just four offers before signing with Georgetown. Averaging 16 points a game in high school, he joined the Hoyas following a prep year at Hargrave Military, where he averaged 11 points and six rebounds.

Walker's time on the Hilltop was brief. He saw action in 25 of 30 games as a freshman, averaging 2.6 points per game. Prior to the start of the 2018-19 season, he was kicked off the team for a pair of altercations with another student, injuring his hand in the process.

Following Georgetown, Walker transferred to the University of Rhode Island for three seasons, and a grad transfer year at Bryant for the 2022-23 season.
